ZORO calls for single administration of Mizo Tribes in Bangladesh, India & Myanmar
AIZAWL – Zo Re-Unification Organization (ZORO) passed a resolution calling for taking concrete steps towards creation of single administrative unit for all Mizo tribes scattered in India, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
This resolution was passed at a convention held in Information Department’s Auditorium yesterday on the occasion of 118th anniversary of Chin-Lushai Conference.
Addressing the convention, ZNP President, Mr. Lalduhoma thanked the ZORO leaders and expressed whole hearted support to the move spearheaded by the organization. He also said that reunification of Mizo tribes under one administrative unit is the main policy of the Party.
Those who addressed the convention included Mr. KL Lianchia of MPC, Mr. Hrangthanga Colney and Mr. B. Sanghnuna of Congress, Mr. Lalthankunga of MNF and MZP President, Mr. VL Krosshnehzova.
Most of the speakers expressed their hope that the objective of ZORO can be achieved within the framework of Article 36 of UN Declaration 2007.

Reuniting all the mizos in three countries would strengthen the mizo people. I hope this becomes a reality. I have lived in the USA for over 25 years and I do feel all the “tlangmi” are of the same origin and should be reunited. We are not that many in numbers and we can have great strength if we are united.

It is a very unrealistic dream to unite the Mizo people living in three different countries, but none the less very good to have this kind of aspirations and dreams. The biggest challenge is your number. Bloody too many of them on each side of the other kinds. I am not Mizo. I am from a different ethnic group. One of your neighbor. We tried it, but had to settle for less than what we desired. You may not get what you want, but none the less you can inflict some damage. Your dream will be a reality only when you can get your finger on that thing most feared by all called atomic bomb. Then you can have them running for their lives. Won’t have to do much work. I believe you are getting closer to your reality now. It is possible someday in some distant future, but hope for sooner. People in Mizoram are believed to have come that famous race that boasts to have produce a lot of world geniuses such as Albert Einstein, Spielberg, Hugh Hefner, Madam Heidi. Just about good and bad all you can name. Very well rounded society. May be soon our Mizo neighbor with their brilliant minds will be able to unlock the mystery of E = mc**2 and will be able to harness its power. Then we will see, who can stand in your way. No escape from these Brownies until then. Now we are placed in detention by our neighbors for bad behaviors along with them ( Brownies ). Everyone building fence around us. Looking very good on us. Who do we look like ?. Some astray cattle. It is all my ancestor’s fault. Why the heck on earth have to pick this place to settle and call home.
