Video: Interviewing Famine ‘mautam’ victims Mara women in Chin State Burma

A Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) reporter made a video documentary of Mara women who were interviewed on facing the famine ‘mautam’ due to the flowering of bamboo that have destroyed crops.

According to the dialect of the first speaker Mrs Sita, she seems to be someone from Ngiaphiapi or Lialaira -central Chin state, the second speaker Mrs. Sezie seems to be from Locheipi (Lungcawipi/Lungchawipi), the third one Mrs. Sinai seems to be from the Southern part of Chin state. The people in the video are Mara women from East Maraland, bordering Saiha District of Mizoram state India.
