The World’s tallest building is Burj Dubai Tower

The Burj Dubai in UAE became the tallest building in the world on Saturday night after the construction of its 141st storey was completed.

When completed in 2008, it is expected to measure 800 meter tall with 160 stories towering much above the present tallest buildings in the world like 508 meter tall Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan, 452 meter tall Petronas Twin Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 442 meter tall Sears Tower in Chicago, United States and others.  (In the Picture is the World’s tallest buildings’ comparisons chart, Click to enlarge).

Associated Press reports the skyscraper will feature more than 160 floors, 56 elevators, luxury apartments, boutiques, swimming pools, spas, exclusive corporate suites, Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani’s first hotel, and a 124th floor observation platform.

The Burj Dubai is expected to be finished by the end of 2008 and its planned final height has been kept secret.

    General laborers get paid $4.00 U.S. per DAY to work on that building.

    In the U.S. for such a building, workers would be able to score themselves $4.00 per HOUR and that would be AFTER taxes.

    Amazing how the United States is so spit upon but paying $4.00 a day is okay.
