The first woman Dy. Chairperson at Mara District Council
Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC)’s three-day monsoon session was concluded on July 29, 2008 which elected MNF MDC Ms N. Naphie from Tuipang-II a new deputy chairperson.
She becomes the first woman to hold such post in the history of the three autonomous district councils of Mizoram.
She is also the first elected woman MDC in the council.
