The Fastest Bullet Train launched in Tokyo, Japan, with Pictures
The new bullet train - Type N700, believed to be the fastest bullet train was unveiled in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, July 1, 2007.

This train covered a staggering distant of 342 mile ( 550 km) from Tokyo to Osaka in just 2 hours and 25 minutes; maximum speed would have exceeded 340km/h. That is 5 minutes faster than the previous record holder.
