Revealing ‘Sung Tin Pari’ real identity
Today I browsed Misual.com and found that there is one post that says Mizo superstar vs Zomi Superstar. I wonder if the Author knows what s/he wrote. Daduhi is a Mizo but Sung Tin Pari is not a Zomi. Zomi are what we usually know them as Tiddim (Teddim) in Myanmar and Paite in India, its famous son is the late Dr. Vum Son, the author of ‘Zo History’.
Sung Tin Pari belonged to Zophei also known as Zyphe, Vuangtu, Vuty, Zawngtu. Zophei people are different from Zomi (Tiddim, Paite, Zougam) they speak Zophei language which is very different from Zomi.

Language code: Zyp at Ethnologue

There are no known villages and towns in Mizoram where Zomi is a dominant majority, whereas Vytu (Zophei) are the majority in two towns/villages – Iana (Ainak) and Siata within Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC) in Southeastern corner of Mizoram. The rest of Vytu tribe live in the adjacent areas that falls under a foreign government Myanmar.
Therefore, let’s hope the Zo world to know about this. Sung Tin Par is a Zophei not a Zomi. It is learned thatt she is a close relative of Rev. Dr. J. Ralbuai of Siata, who is now heading Myanmar Pentecostal Church.
Sung Tin Par is Laimi version of her real name Sung Tin Pa in Zophei language. Her Zophei Music Video, Kong Pachangtu Zisu (Ky Pachatuh Zisu in Mara), Khawngaihtu Isua in Mizo is posted below: Well you will know this is really not Zomi music video: Listen carefully and make out the difference:
There has been an attempt from some scholars to say that the word Zomi (Paite, Teddim) and Mizo are an interchangeable terms used for addressing the same people in Mizoram and Myanmar (Burma). However, the usage of Zomi in Myanmar is restricted only to Paite speaking people, and Zophei people do not identify themselves as Zomi though they may agree that they are part of Zo world being Zophei.

Great Data you go there. Thz for sharing your knowledge. I know people who know them well, like very well and they are very nice family and her brother is very social. So, anyway thz again for sharing cause everyone is thinking that she is from Hakha so it seems smaller families in Hakha-Thantlang-matupi districts need to be more willing to safeguard their family from unnecessarily assimilating into larger families.
Thz
