Southeast Asian Open University coming up in Mizoram
AIZAWL: The Mizoram government has decided to set up South East Asian Open University, School Education Minister R Lalthangliana said here today, PTI reported.
“As per the provisions, students from SAARC countries would be able to enroll and pursue their studies upto the doctorate degree levels online,” he told mediapersons here.
The state government has approached the UN and governments including China and UK for funding the proposed university and things would be finalised after passing the legislation of the University bill, the minister said.

This sounds interesting. Mizoram should become a bridge to many Southeast Asian nations like Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, East Timor and others.
A very good move on the part of Mizoram government.
