Secure your Wireless Internet Connection from terrorists, hackers
If you are using Wireless Internet Connection make sure you secure it with a password, otherwise hackers, terrorists and miscreants in close proximity will be able to access internet using your connection, send email and make hell out of your life.
Few weeks ago, it happened to Kenneth Haywood and now it happened with K M Kamath in Mumbai after the serial blasts in Delhi. The Kamath family faced endless questioning from Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the email sender was traced to theirs.
“We did not feel the need to secure or password protect our internet connection. But now it has become a necessity for all citizens to secure their connections,” said Sarika, wife of the victim K.M. Kamath.
To prevent such incident Wifi internet users must always use a secure password to connect to their wireless internet connection. Users need to just use password one time, and the computer will remember the password. One doesn’t have to enter the password each time he switch on the computer. So, do not wait untill Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) comes calling at your doorstep.
Terrorists are everywhere, whether you are in India, Thailand, Pakistan, USA, UK, Australia, Europe, etc, take the precaution seriously and secure your internet connection right now.

Hacking a Wi-Fi is possible depending on the IQ level of hacking skills. I can use a Wi-Fi detector commonly known as Wi-Fi catcher. If the Wi-Fi is not secured, I can use Network Identifier to know the IP address. If the factory set administrator password is not changed with a new password, with the help of free Network hacking softwares available in the Internet, I can happily use your Internet and send TERROR mail to US President, FBI or MI5. They will come and knock on your door. Not my door.
Hope that people will understand the serious of their irresponsibility.
If you use a wireless broadband or Wi-Fi,
Delete the factory pre-set administrator password of your wireless router and create a new ‘not-so-easy-to-guess’ password with CAPITAL and small letters with numbers and symbols such %,*,&,@.
You MUST turn on MAC filtering and turn off SSID broadcast to make a NIGHTMARE for any hacking attempt.
Make sure that your wireless router uses WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) encryption rather than the unsecured WEP encryption.
Use WEP/WPA/WPA2 with the biggest security key you can get.
When you have finished using the wireless broadband or Wi-Fi, make a habit to ‘Turn Off’ the wireless router.
Set your broadband router to auto update latest security software updates. Check it regularly.
It is your responsibility.
