Scott Brown: the new face of the Republican Party
With a Senate seat win for the GOP after four decades in Democratic stronghold of Massachusetts, the Republicans, left without undisputed “face” to represent them on national stage ever since Obama came to power, Senator Scott Brown could well become the new face of the party. Why not?
After all, he is the one who now sits on the prestigious Senate seat once occupied by Edward ‘Ted’ Kennedy’s for the past 47 years until his untimely demise on August last year (2009) that prompted the election, which Mr. Brown won convincingly against his Democrat opponent Martha Coakley.
Thinking about the possible face of the party – names like Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, John McCain, etc, pop up and the list goes on but none of them actually clicked for the party. Now, they have a serious contender to the party’s top leadership. His name is Brown, Scott Brown. Doesn’t it sound like James Bond.
Massachusetts could well provide a refreshing change for the Grand Old Party forĀ the new year.
Welcome Senator Brown! We will see more of you on TV screens and newspapers across America from now on! Good luck!
