SIAHA – District Playground which lies in the middle of Siaha town, just a few metres from the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office will be upgraded to a State level standard playground soon.

Saiha Herald (SH) newspaper reported that the new Deputy Commissioner, Shri Kunal, IAS has conveyed his intention to remodel the playground known locally as ‘Tlylia’ to the media and work to this affect will soon begin.

However, the newspaper also said, it must be borne in mind that works of this magnitude will take some time to complete.

Shri Kunal, IAS assumes as the new DC of Saiha district while his wife, Mrs Suman Goyal, an IPS officer also take charge as Superitendent of Police (SP) of the district recently.

Saiha is one of the district headquarters of Mizoram. It is considered to be the third largest town/city in Mizoram. It  is also the headquarters of Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC) and the commercial hub in south Mizoram. Locally, the town is known as Siaha.
