Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Shri. Mani Shankar Aiyar said, “The tragedy of Mizoram is that the rats ate all your food and the MNF* drink(drunk) all your water.”

The minister was making fun of the unfulfilled Greater Aizawl Water Supply Scheme Phase II project that he inaugurated 18 months ago on the invitation of Mizoram CM Pu Zoramthanga, he said, “After cutting the ribbon, I and Pu Zorama smiled and took photographs together that were splashed all over the newspapers, but now there is no drop of water we get from that project, 90 percent of the money were already spent but only 50 percent of the work has been done.” Watch the video to know more about his speech.
