Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl, Mizoram update

Quoting the official statement from Mizoram state government, Press Trust of India reported Wednesday that UPA Chairman Sonia Gandhi would visit Mizoram next month to lay the foundation of Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl city, Mizoram.

The first modern stadium in the state is being constructed at Mualpui, not far from down town Aizawl city by the present Congress government. Earlier, MNF government had proposed to construct it in Lammual also known as Assam Rifles (AR) Ground in the heart of the city.
