All good things come with criticism as well. We give them space below:
Criticism:
The Bandra-Worli link is a short stretch that does not even cover the western shore, as envisaged two decades ago. It took ages because of design changes and payment disputes. The trans-harbour bridge creek has been bid for twice yet not awarded to anybody. – Economic Times.
Our comment:
This is a very good start. We hope the government to do more for our financial capital. It must not be overshadowed by Shanghai and other Asian cities!!

This is a milestone unveiled and a big boost for economy. However, the name should have been dedicated to our scientists, who lived the dream and created opportunities for us.
Now, other meropolitans must follow early.

Rajiv Jee deserves all respects and regards. But he belongs to a political party that is thriving in the name of Nehru Gandhi. So naming a mass welfare project afte Rajiv Jee gives unfair political milage to Congress since over 50 % indians are very poor and could mistake the state expenditure as having done by a particular family. This practice has to be stopped. Better name it as Chattarpati Shiva Jee Setu or any other freedom fighter who did not taste political power at New Delhi after 14 August 1947 or why not after Subash chnader Bose or Bhagat Singh or Raj Guru or Lala Laj Pat Rai or Tilak or Gokhle.

My wife and me drove over the bridge on 3rd April 2010. it is realy a wonderfull bridge. Though the outlet at Worli is not optimal. We live in Germany for last 40 years. As a small boy, say about in 1953-1954 playing at Chawpati (Opera House) I dreamt of the bridge from Narimal Point to Walkeshwar joining further to Worali Sea Face. So today, I m happy, at last my dream is becoming true. I hope now rest of the Sea Link road around Mumbai will be finish very fast. So that it will not take us 3-4 hrs from the airport to Kulaba.
