Paite chosen as Link Language for CCpur AIR Sub-station
Churachandpur, April 13 (Samaw.com) – The Honourable Chief Minister of Manipur Shri O. Ibobi Singh had inaugurated All India Radio (AIR) Sub-Station, Churachandpur on Tuesday, the 13th April, declaring PAITE as the link language for the AIR Sub-station.
The broadcasting has started at 4:00 p.m. the same day.
Earlier, the other Kuki-Chin-Mizo communities living in the same district like Hmar, Thado (Kuki), and others have also demanded that their languages be used for the link language. However, the people in authorities have finally decided on Paite, seemingly the language of the majority in the district.
Let’s hope that the Kuki-Chin-Mizo people in Manipur will unite under Paite language as it has been used for the link language for the radio station and will stop fighting one another now that the authorities have firmly decided on the language.
Like Mizo (Duhlian) is used as a common language in Mizoram, Kuki-Chin-Mizo people in Manipur too need a common language. Paite may well become a common language as they have the number and influence. Paites are called Zomis in Myanmar (Burma). They are one of the biggest Kuki-Chin-Mizo tribes in India, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Samaw.com congratulates our Paite brothers for securing their language as the Link language for the Churachandpur Radio station.

congratulations! paite bros and sis 4 choosing paite as link language in ccpur.
Bro lian we r so sory 4 existing in the universe though you wish Hmar not to have existed. like ur paite the Hmar people nd Hmar language r created by God and it is God who made it survive and not extinc.tDespising the Hmar language is equal to despising its Maker. If at all you are proud of ur paite we equally are proud of our language and identity. If you are sensitive and natural you would have thought about all these. In this world nothing is permanent praise God 4 recognising ur language as link language and dont use this blessing to hammer other sentiments who are not paite. please know this and understand I m proud that God meade me Hmar and not Paite
