North Cachar Hills Council CEM, EM shot dead
According to ZeeNews Bureau Report, Chief Executive Member CEM) and an Executive Member (EM) were shot dead in the run up poll of Cachar North Hills Autonomous Disctrict Council
Haflong (Assam), June 04: Violence marred the run-up to the North Cachar Hills district autonomous council election on Monday, when suspected Dima Haola Daoga (Black Widow) insurgents shot dead the outgoing Chief Executive Member and an Executive Member of the Council.
The ultras called out CEM Purnendu Langthasa and em Nindu Langthasa, in-charge of education and forest, from an election meeting at Langlaihasno, 50 km from here, and shot them dead from point blank range, official sources said. The Congress members were campaigning for their party candidate at Dihang in the meeting when the incident took place.
Purnendu is the eldest son of former Assam Minister Gobinda Langthasa. His second son Narmendu Langthasa was a victim of the Dimasa-Hmar clash when he was shot dead in broad daylight when he had gone to bring his daughter from the St Mary’s School in Haflong Town in 2002.

I have seen two mistake:- 1) Minister name is not Gobinda Langthasa it is Gobin Chandra Langthasa and 2) School name is not St Mary’s School its is St Agnes Convent High School.
