No more tattoos for Pastors said Mizoram Synod
Aizawl, Dec. 13 – Mizoram Presbyterian Church highest Assembly called Mizoram Synod has declared that they will not ordain anyone who tattooed themselves as the revered ministers or pastors under the biggest Church body in the state.
The resolution passed in effect was brought in by Chhimphei Presbytery; it stated, “From now on someone who is tattooed will not be allowed to be ordained as Probationary Pastors (of Mizoram Presbyterian Church).”
Meanwhile, 19 candidates will be ordained as probationary pastors while another 20 candidates will be inducted as pastors; among the latter, two of them Abdul Kalam Shah BA, BTh(Hindi) s/o AS Shah and Lalhmangaiha Dip.Th,BTh s/o Zolûta will serve under Synod Mission Board to strengthen the mission fields elsewhere.
