Mizoram Tourism Minister visits Indo-Myanmar border trade center in the South

Tourism Minister, Mr. S. Hiato visited the proposed Multi Modal Project being taken up in South Mizoram under the Look East Policy of the Centre.

Visiting Lomasu (Longmasu), the site selected for the base of Border Trade between India and Myanmar, the Minister inspected the site selected for construction of a grand tourist lodge at the cost of 300 lakh rupees.

As PHE Minister, Mr. Hiato also inspected water supply schemes of many villages he visited on his way. He was accorded a warm welcome in all the villages he visited such as Kawlchaw, New Latawh, New Serkawr, Vahai, Laki, Khopai, Zawngling, Beimari, Longmasu, Theiri, Theiva, Maubawk and Zeropoint.

The Minister was accompanied by Saiha DC, Mr. Kunal, the Director of Tourism Department, Mr. Vabeiha Hlychho, PHE SE, Mr. HC Lalnunzira and officers of PWD, Power, PHE and other Departments. The PHE Minister has returned to Saiha this afternoon.
