Mizoram - No. 1 exporter of Gospel
Mizoram is the number 1 exporter of the gospel in proportion to its population. Mizoram most visible export item remains the gospel of Jesus Christ. No nation on earth has sent a higher proportion of their population to tell others about Jesus.
This is what Inspire Magazine from United Kingdom found out lately.
The magazine estimates that 1 out of every 500 people in Mizoram is a missionary. If that ratio was reproduced in the UK, there would be a whopping 115,000 British missionaries.
The magazine also seems to have taken into account Mizoram Presbyterian Church only, if numbers from Baptist Church of Mizoram, Evangelical Church of Maraland and others too are added, the actual proportion could go up further.
And if the statement made by Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga in 2004 - which is sending out one lakh missionaries (100,000) from the state, impossible it may seem, the proportion of missionaries to the Mizos will be 1:9 since the total population of the state is merely about 9 lakhs (900,000 according to 2001 census).

Since I visit the northern part of West Bengal for missionary
work, I read about Mizoram. It is an amazing place of
Christianity, and its Chief Minister is a great man of God.
I pray that the Lord may use that State for evangelizing
India and other neighbouring countries of India. The State
of Kerala didn’t take the lead of evangelizing India, so God
has found another State of India for that job.

Hi Mr. Matthew, thanks for challenging believers in Mizoram. History proves that when Christians stop evangelizing they usually experience decline in numbers which is quite obvious in Kerala. According to Christoday Today online newspaper reported
“The fact that the Christian population in Kerala fell from 24% to 19% in the last 50 years should be an eye-opener for all. Hence parents should strive to bring up every human life realising that the mother’s womb is a security cover given by God for the protection of life,” a pastoral letter from the Thrissur Archdiocese read.

If the saplings and seeds of Christianity in those states are not planted in the rest of the states, they will choke one another and die… God bless your work.
