Mini-Hydel Project in Memory of late missionary to Mizoram

SAIHA - Presbyterian Church of India in Mizoram have decided to construct and sponsor a Mini-Hydel Project in Memory of a pioneer missionary to Mizoram at Kaisih village, Saiha district in South Mizoram.

According to Moonlight Newspaper, Siaha (Saiha), the Mini-Hydel project is to be constructed near Kaisih vilalge in memory of one of the late pioneered missionaries to Mizoram Rev. Edwin Rowlands, popularly known by his Mizo given name Pu (Shri) Zosapthara.

Zosapthara was believed to have wandered around Kaisih village before he could reach his mission station in the interior of Mizoram.

“The electricity generated from this project is expected to supply enough power to meet the needs in Western Belt of Mara ram (Maraland),” the Moonlight paper added.
