Maraland Gospel Centenary Day is here
Hello everyone, today i.e the 26th of September 2007 is Maraland Gospel Centenary Day. The pioneer Missionaries - Rev. & Mrs. Reginal Arthur Lorrain brought the good news of great joy to Mara people arrived at Saikao(Mission base) on this day a 100 years ago in 1907.
It is a very joyous moment for Mara people around the world. The day will be celebrated as an opening day for a series of celebration to be held later next month in various towns and villages across Maraland.
The followings are the missionaries who have brought the good news to the land:
1. Rev. Reginald Arthur Lorrain 26.9.1907 - 1.2. 1944
2. Mrs. Maud Louise Ulander Lorrain 26.9.1907 - 23.5. 1960

8. Miss Gladys E. Gorst 12.12.1928 - 1929
9. Mr. Jelly and his Children (Marry, Susan, Johny) 1931
Mara people will always cherish their names and remain thankful to the above precious names for their contributions to let them know the True God of Jehovah. The word of God from Romans is truly beautiful:
…How can they believe unless someone preaching to them…. As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” - Romans 10:15 & Isaiah 52:7.
Expressing the mood of the moment, one of the themes this time around is taken from Psalms 26:3
The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
Above all it is the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that saves Mara people. Thanks be to God the Almighty, forever. Amen.
Let us join Mara people in thanksgiving prayers for this meaningful and historical day.
