Mara Church leaders at German Protestant Church Day “Kirchentag”
Cologne, Germany: Mara Church leaders from Mara Evangelical Church (MEC) attended “Kirchentag”, German Protestant Church Day in Cologne, Germany
Rev. Maiki (Chhituhno), one of the women ordained Pastor with MEC reported from Cologne stating how graceful it is to witness a gathering of believers of that magnitude and praised other Christian leaders for their support to the cause of Mara people and their endeavour towards evangelizing the people in the neighboring states.
Prominent Christians leaders from around the world graced the occasion. World Council of Churches General Secretary Rev. Samuel Kobia too had addressed the gatherings on June 7 on “How can religions live together?”
Inaugurated in 1949, the “Kirchentag” occurs every two years, and is the largest Protestant gathering in Germany. This year, it is taking place in Cologne from 6 to 10 June.
