Let my people blog!

The title is inspired by Moses who demanded ‘Let me people go’ to Pharaoh at ‘Prince of Egypt’ animation movie and Ravi Zacharias’ radio programme title ‘Let my people think’.

We are in the age of information - with the help of computer and internet information are passed and exchanged within few seconds like never before. It has reached common man and internet user base continues to grow rapidly. We are the people who love technology and new things albeit good or bad; and can adjust or adapt to new things very easily. That may be the reason why so many of us are using internet not really worrying about the expenditures that involved. We are risk takers and we dare the world. And we have won many times. I love this qualities among our people. Many of us are now connected to internet and mirc stats tells how many of us go online everyday. Therefore, we must start blogging as well. We must leave our footprints online. The best way is to blog.

Sometime ago, members of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as the Mormons, wanted to correct their image towards others in what they called ‘the bias attitude towards them’ tried several things; one of the most important decisions they had taken was ‘every Mormons must blog’. The leadership instructed the members to blog and make an impact online. This way they hope they can remove ‘cult’ tag that had been associated with them. I do not know the outcome nevertheless it was  a very good move on their part. That’s how mormon-blogs.com came about where their blogs are listed. They know what a blog can do.

‘Let my people blog’ I hope we can impact our country and the world through blogging. Some of us are already doing it and have impacted some people to some extend. It is time more people must blog.

Chin-Kuki-Mizo people must take this opportunity. When we have thousands of our people on the blogosphere it will enrich us one another and it will surely have a positive impacts to others too.

We are in Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, Chittagong, Chin state, Rakhine state in South and South East Countries like India, Myanmar and Bangladesh. And many of us are also scattered throughout the world. We have our people in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Japan, UK, Denmark, Germany, USA and others. Blogging is the easiest way to make our presence felt online and we can connect one another. I wish I have more time to write so that I could have made the points in a list.

I say it again, ‘Let my people blog’.
