It does not matter to me what name you give yourself. What I want to see is that you get a new state on your own. When we the Chins liberate our country out of Burma, we will be able to integrate more ties with Mizoram and Kukiland. That’s what we Chins are dreaming.

For the time being, we must learn how to use our identity names shrewdly. We Lai peoples, do not impose ‘Lairam’ to replace ‘Chin’ as our national name. We know if we do, that would be based on immaturity and that can be full of disrespect to others. We should discuss common identity issue when we have the circumstances to do so.
