A Journalist alleges North-easterners of eating their pet cats
A certain journalist by name Kishore Singh of ‘Business Standard’ newspaper accused North easterners of eating their household pet ‘cats’ when his father was posted in Shillong
He wrote,
By the time we got to Shillong, there were — kittens included — eight of them. Unfortunately, my father’s official house was located in between Nagaland House and Mizoram House, and when one by one the cats kept disappearing, we knew they had ended up on our neighbours’ menus.
I do not believe if this story is true… this kind of irresponsible write-ups keep appearing in National Newspapers, and the end result is that general public think North East people are just an aliens and a bunch of strange people.
