Jharkhand Assembly Polls Resulted in a Hung House
The Jharkhand Assembly elections have thrown up a hung house with no party or alliance anywhere near the halfway mark of 42, while JMM, with 18 seats, emerged as king-maker for both Congress and BJP and their allies.
Total assembly seats: 80.
Parties/Alliance = Won (gain or loss)
Congress+Allies = 25 (+16)
Congress =13 (+4)
Babulal Marandi’s JVM = 10 (+10)
BJP+Allies = 20 (-16)
BJP = 18 (-12)
JD(U) = 2 (-4)
JMM = 18 (+1)
All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) = 5 (+3)
RJD+LJP, CPI, CPI(M) and the MCC = 5 (-2)
