January 2009 Google pagerank update
For the first time in 2009, Google has recently updated pagerank of websites. You may want to compare with the previous update on September 27, 2008.
This time the big gainers are maraland.net, zotalk.com and pasaihpha.net with gain of +2 pagerank each .
Some of the Google pagerank of Websites and blogs from Mizoram are as follows:
1. Zawlbuk.net – 6 (+1)
2. Lelte.net – 6 (+2) – Lengzem.info – 6
3. Maraland.net – 5 (+2).
4. Zotalk.com – 6 (+2).
5. Kolasib.com – 4 (+1)
6. Marasaw.com – 4 (+1).
7. Alexxfender.com – 4
8. Pasaihpha.net – 4 (+2)
9. Mizohican blog – 4 (0) – Highest for a personal blog.
10. Marablogger.com – 4 (+1).
Misual.com and Lawrkhawm.com pageranks remain 3 each – not really bad for social community websites.
Others: Mumbaimizo.org 6, Hyderabadmizo.org 4, msabangalore.org 4, bangaloremizo.info 4.
One of the most active Zo blogs Zoaw has only 2 pagerank for now.
Religious websites: Youthim.com 6, marachristian.net 4
Others are mostly 3 or 2 pageranks.

hehehehe… I’ve been stuck at 4 for a really long time now *GRIN*
When all the others went up above me, I remained at 4. Then most of them came down suddenly below me and I was still 4. And now, once again, the new PR gives me 4 again. :)

By the way, do you know your site was down for a long time today? Tried visiting many times but couldnt. :(

@Sandman, yes… hostmonster is Utah based hosting company. They had issues with the server lately…. It has been like unstable this for the past 2 days… We hope it will not repeat in the coming days…
PR seems unfair at times. Yours is very stable and it is commendable. Others fluctuate every time there is an update. How PR is assigned to websites is very unpredictable….

To say Google has been kind to webmasters isn’t what it should be. Most of us has dropped in the rankings. Well, unless another ranking system comes out and upstage Google PR, all of us have to be stucked with PR for the time being
