India beat Australia Win Commonwealth Tri-series 2-0
What a sweet revenge! There can be possibly no sweeter thing in cricket than defeating the so-called Cricket World Champion at their home turf in an ODI tri-series with 2-0 with one more match to spare.
As a keen follower of Cricket, for our MEN IN BLUE, with all those monkey controversies, this is the sweetest revenge so far.
India defeated Australia in the first finals of CB Tri-series with Sachin Tendulkar scoring his first ODI century in Australian soil. India 242-4 (45.5) simply outplayed Australia 239-8 (50) in the first finals. Complete scorecard here.
And came the second Finals in Brisbane. India put up a competing target for Australia 258-9 with Sachin 91 (out) nearly scoring another century. Australia were bowled out at 249-10 (49.4). Thus India won the Tri-series with the third and final match to spare. All rounder Praveen Kumar was adjusted man of the match. Complete scorecard here.
Well done India!
Highlights so far, according to me:
- The sweetest series for Sachin Tendulkar; with score reading 117 (not out) and 91 in two matches, what a performances! Critics can have or can take rest for good.
- India not only won the match but won as a better behaved team in terms of the so-called on-field bahaviour. The proof is that Andrew Symond knocked down a streaker in the second match. The naked man was laid naked in the pitch.
- Praveen Kumar might have won the hearts of the selectors with his performances and might have clinched his place in Team India firmly.
- Dhoni will be a happy Captain!

What a series! Congratulations to Team INDIA. You have made us proud to be your fans once again.
