Delhi University Placement picks up pace
In an encouragement development for students at Delhi University, job placements have improved this year.
Times of India reported that on the first day of the job placement held at the campus, 88 students were comfortably placed.
According to officials from the Central Placement Cell, 88 students were hired by HDFC Standard Life on Monday for the sales profile with a starting salary package of Rs 2.45 lakh. “Eight others have been shortlisted by Akash Educational Services for a final round later. Their cost to company is likely to start from Rs 5.8 lakh,” said CPC chairperson Seema M Parihar. She added, “There seems to be a huge opportunity for science students. Akash is willing to come again for more students. Nearly 3,000 students from various colleges and departments have registered for central placement this time.
As many as 11 companies have registered this year for visiting the campus to hire students from all streams. While two companies HDFC Stardard Life and Akash Educational Services met students on Monday, Tech Mahindra, NDPL, Genpact, HCL BPO, Capital IQ are expected to visit the campus till February 2.
