For people living in Delhi, the Metro Rail is very useful. Built with the most modern technology, Delhi Metro is one of the best metro rail systems in the world. The metro stations show varied artistic skills of its great citizens.

Timings:

The Metro Trains run from 6:00 AM in the morning till about 11:00 PM in the night.

Fares:
The cost for traveling in Delhi Metro ranges from Rs. 6 (minimum) to Rs. 22 (maximum) at present.

The ticket, which could be a card (Travel or Smart card) or a token, is purchased from the Ticket Counter. The passenger then proceeds to one of several gates that separate the Paid Area from the Unpaid Area.

Here, the passenger will hold the ticket close to the machine to the right of the gate. If valid, the gates will open automatically, and the passenger can pass to the Paid Area. If not valid, then the passenger will need to contact the Customer Service Staff.

How to use your Token:

- Hold your token close to the machine for the gates to open.
- At exit, drop a Single-Journey token into the machine.

New Delhi’s landmark Central Park at Connaught Place is being built with an underground Metro station, it will be thrown open to public in few years.

Frequency of trains: 3-4 minutes, like elsewhere.
