The issue of defining an acceptable nomenclature for the CHIN-KUKI-MIZO group of consanguinous tribes has unfortunately lost its momentum since later part of the last century. Unfortunately, for Mizo's (Lushei) the issue has become irrelevant since declaration of a Mizo state. What is disturbing, therefore, is the waning of sense of oneness. The need of the hour is for every conscientous kuki, chin, mizo, lai or mara etc., to impress upon our leaders to direct their attention to this paramount issue. We are a great nation of immense potentialities waiting to be ignited. A common and acceptable nomenclature can spark off the fire of unity.
