The biggest Book Fair in Mizoram was held recently from August 8 - 18, 2007 at Vanapa Hall in Aizawl, the state capital; reporters from Aizawl gave a very contrasting reports.

Reporting for Asian News International, D. Henpilen stated that the organisers were very enthusiastic, the news read:

The enthusiastic response of the people of Mizoram has prompted publishers and book sellers to tap the vast potential of readers in the State.

May I also point out that Mr. Henpilen chose to write the capital of Mizoram as Aizwal, I wonder why this spelling mistake should not be rectified by him!

However, Aizol Times reporter gave a very contrasting scenario, it reported that the organisers were disappointed due to poor response from the public though they have brought books worth Rs.25 lakhs from Kolkata.
