First contact made with missing student
A Northeast student from Mizoram who is missing in Mysore, Karnataka has made the first contact with his brother today, Friday, the 3rd September 2010 at around 3:12pm in Mysore city. He was calling from an STD booth and the line was cut, and his location is not known, the search is still on.

Most of leprosy sufferers in Mizoram cured
Aizawl, Aug 23 (PTI) – Out of more than 1,400 leprosy sufferers in Mizoram, 1,300 have been cured since 1983 and only 17 were being treated, an official statement said here today.

Most domestic violence cases in Mizoram go unreported
AIZAWL, Aug. 16 (PTI) – A senior psychiatrist Dr John M Ralte says that while domestic violence is extremely traumatic for the victims and also for the children, only a few of them had approached psychiatrists for clinical treatment.

India gives ultimatum to Blackberry Mobile Phone services
NEW DELHI, Aug.12 (PTI): Stepping up the pressure on BlackBerry mobile phone services, government today asked phone-makers Canada-based Research In Motion as well as telecom operators to provide a technical solution by August 31 or face ban.
