Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) opens
Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) welcome the arrival and successful landing of the first plane at the airport on Friday, May 23, 2008.
Air India Flight IC 609 from Mumbai touched down at the new airport at 10.40 pm on Friday opening a new chapter for air travelers in and out of Bangalore city now renamed as Bengaluru.

According to Times of India newspaper, “BIAL authorities ensured that car and bus services to the city’s central business district were hassle-free.”
This is good news for air travelers!
