Air India Mumbai-New York flight fares slashed
Air India has slashed Mumbai-New York direct flight fares within the first week of launching itself.

Air India has reduced the economy class fares by Rs.4000 to Rs.50,700. The hardest hit one however is the business and first class in the range of a whopping Rs.66,000 to Rs.90,000. Therefore, the business class fare now costs Rs.1.59 lakh instead of Rs.2.25 lakh. And the first class will cost Rs.3.6 lakh instead of Rs.4.5 lakh (all fares are without taxes).
The restructuring of these fares are mainly due to competitors like Delta Airline (nons-stop service) and Jet Airways (a stop-over in Europe) whose fares are comparatively cheap.
Air India Mumbai-New York non-stop flight was launched on August 1 this year with 288-seater Boeing 777 LR.
