About

Samaw.com, the official website of ‘Samaw Communications’ was founded on August 24, 2004. The website started as an English Portal for Mara people. The website was a very simple static pages, we called it samaw.com version 1.0. We had used yabb forum written in cgi script as the only programming part of the website in that version.

In 2005, we upgraded to xoops and named it samaw.com version 1.1 and we offered features like forum, chat, news, photogallery, games and others.

However, by early 2007 we felt that it will be more effective to run on an easy to use Wordpress platform and we upgraded it to the current site on May 27, 2007. The original slogan of the website, ‘Northeast India Portal from Maraland in Mizoram‘ was changed to ‘Northeast India blog from Maraland in Mizoram‘ reflecting the change thereof.

The above Logo is the official Logo of Samaw.com created since version 1.2. More information will be added later.

Samaw.com like the following statement:

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,

Samaw Communications website is one of the earliest websites from Mizoram the went online without changing its domain name year after year. We look forward to our 5th Year Anniversary on August 24, 2009.
